Creating a Personal Mission Statement - Reconnect to Your Inner Power
A smart Personal Mission Statement helps you recognize who you really are, and helps you live each day from your true, authentic self. It helps you to connect along with your true values and it helps you produce from those values.
The kind of Personal Mission Statement that I suggest may be totally different from those you have heard of in the past. The purpose here is to help you connect with your essential self by finding single words that categorical the essence of who you're and what you love.
The most effective Mission Statement is one that strikes a chord deep among you every time you examine it. It helps you live your life from the within out, keeping you grounded and focused from within.
Making traditional Mission Statements needs that you opt who you want to become within the future. Instead, I am asking you to spend some time getting to grasp who you're right now. You'll be holding an old image of yourself in your mind, but throughout your life you have grown and evolved. Get a clear sense of who you are now. Separate yourself from the roles you have taken on, and the things you think that you "have to" do.
Produce in the present. Old-vogue Mission Statements are goal-based mostly and generally future-oriented, however the foremost valuable Mission Statement you can produce is not a statement of where you're heading, it's a statement of who you're right now. Once you faucet into your authentic self, you will not want something external to pull you toward your goals. Instead you may be empowered to make your life from within.
Start by asking the right questions. Fill in the blanks of the following statements:
Right now, my life is about____________________________. (Write down the essence of what you are actually doing with it slow and energy. Prefer it or not, right now that's what your life is about.)
Right now, I wish my life to be about_____________.
More than anything, I believe___________________.
What satisfies me is __________________.
What evokes me is_________________________.
What I treasure most of all is ____________________________.
Play around with one or 2 word phrases till you discover the words that resonate deep
among you. You'll apprehend when you've found the correct ones.
The next step is to re-address the query: what is my life regarding? Look honestly at your
life to see if there is a disparity between your current daily actions and who you really
are. You may notice that you're way off, or only slightly off. You'll be stepping into the proper
direction, but notice that you wish a totally different approach.
Study where you're working from habit, instead of intention. Uncover any places where
you're living per recent conditioning, rather than your own true desires.
Finally, return and write down your Personal Mission Statement:
Right now, my life is about______________.
A lot of than anything, I believe_____________.
What satisfies me is _______________.
What inspires me is__________________.
What I treasure most of all is ______________.
Put this somewhere where you'll see it each day.
Rather than using it to try toward goals, let it activate your inner truth.
As you specific that truth through your daily actions, you may become stronger and a lot of
empowered, with a lot of potentialities open to you. Don't let your new Personal Mission
Statement be carved in stone. Allow it to evolve as you do.
Enable it to become a platform from which you produce and expand in all areas of your life.
