I know that it's difficult to be patient with many things in life. Never has patience been so important as when you're trying to get back together with your ex girlfriend but it is a necessary trait for your future success if you are serious about winning her heart.
While you might be anxious to get to the good part of the whole breakup equation, which is getting back together, if you rush things you're only going to make matters worse and prolong the amount of time it's going to take to win her back. Pushing your ex or hounding her to talk to you, communicate with you, see you or talk about getting back together is very tempting. You're worried that she'll find someone else or that she'll forget about you. You worry that another guy will steal her away from you and then your window of opportunity will close forever.
Timing is everything when trying to get your girlfriend back but rushing things and trying to pressure her will only turn her off and make her want to avoid you all the more. Think of yourself and how you feel when someone tries to convince you to do something that you don't want to do. You avoid that person and you might even grow to loathe that person. You make excuses while trying not to hurt their feelings but most of all you try to avoid the person who is trying to force you to do something that you don't want to do.
On the other hand, if one of your friends was a lot of fun to spend time with, you would be agreeable to going anywhere with them. If you had a best friend that you really enjoyed spending time with and you were always laughing and having a good time then you'd be agreeble to going just about anywhere with them, right?
After a breakup you are simply someone that your ex doesn't want to spend time with. Of course, that can change in time as the bad memories fade and the good memories come to her mind. She'll become bored with the single life and getting hit on by stupid guys who only have one thing in mind. She'll miss the connection that you had and soon your opportunity will present itself where you can reignite that spark.
Basically, your ex girlfriend is going to have to show you some kind of attention before you stand a chance of getting back together with her. There has to be some attraction or desire on her part. Be sure that she will wonder what's going on in your life and she will begin to miss you after a short while. It's your job to be patient and wait for that opportunity.
If you ever start to get impatient and feel the desire to reach out to her, resist that urge. Do something to make yourself happy or to improve your life so you and your life will actually be more attractive when that time does come. Work out, do some reading, clean the house, buy yourself some new clothes, get your hair cut or even enroll in a course at your local community college. Anything that you can do to change your life and make your ex believe that things have changed for you will spark her interest and make her want to investigate further what's going on in your life. Trust me! You can do this and getting back together with your ex is not such a great feat.
