Nop, it's not 42 or any other number, as a lot nowadays would say (why? google why)

'What is the meaning of life?' is the age old investigation that keeps haunting folks generation after generation. Which is, if you come to think of it, quite odd. Not that it is such an irrelevant question, no, on the contrary, a more eminent one would be very difficult to find. The astonishing thing about this question, i think, is that after eons of time trying to answer this question, we still, to this very day, haven't really found a satisfying answer to it. Otherwise we would have stopped asking this question by now and would already be very engaged with the next question (if there is any, that is). And that is, in my humble judgment, a little sad, isn't it?
I mean, here we are. With 7 billion on some enormous ball or planet, alone (we assume) in this delirious dark infinity, fighting our daily lives for control on whatever rank you can think of, and still the most profound we can come up with is to ask what's it all about, anyway? Que? This then automatically means that we without a doubt have no clue what we are doing on a day-to-day basis at all, it seems. Or does it? Otherwise we would not only know the answer and stopped asking that same old one, no, we, by Jove, would actually DO what life is about. We would actually have a real experience. Imagine that!
O, we do know what we are doing then, you conclude? You mean slaving away to massively pay taxes for conquering countries in the name of spreading democracy and then steal their natural resources and above all making the world's economy florish like as if it was some sort of a freak doctrine is an enlightened and cool occupation, you say? Is that what it's all about? I don't think so, but i know one thing: a whole lot of people do, day in and day out they do. You can see that every evening in the daily news on the tube.
If you take another look at this whole situation from another angle and decide that it's actually quite peculiar (if not to say 'unfair') not to know the answer collectively in such a strange place we call earth (you would think that would be the least thing we are entitled too), One could say that asking 'what is the meaning of life?' again and again implies not only that we don't know but also maybe that we don't know 'anymore'. How's that for a new perspective? Maybe, by reversing the complete brainteaser, ?this little word 'anymore' could be a little bit of the puzzle and could lead us in a whole new direction of permanently finding an answer. Because that would shed a whole other light on this thing because it implies that we once, a long long time ago, did know, but that something happened and that we forgot. What if?
Does this resonates with you? Does this hypothesis electrify you? It does with me, i can confess you that!
Could we collectively, as a species, suffer from an amnesia that is so aggressive it mutates us into mean egomaniacal psychopaths in big-ticket clothes as camouflage and creates this really weird and highly limited perceptibility we describe as cities and roads? Even if still asking ourselves 'what is the meaning of life?' because maybe we forgot, i still think we need to find the answer. Or remember.
I've built this little video as a trailer for a book i wrote on this whole affair. Maybe it brings back several memories when you see it.
