Can I Use PayPal To Pay My Courier?- By: Paul McDuffy

Description : Every courier company has several different means by which they will accept payment from their customers. Just because the courier WI company that you dealt with previously took credit cards, for example, does not immediately mean that you should assume that your new one does.

The number of payment methods that customers prefer can differ a great deal depending on how they like to run their business. Some people prefer to pay by credit card for everything. That way, all of their business expenditures are tracked in one easy location, and they have an easy time with accounting.

Other people prefer more secure methods of payment such as a company check, which many courier companies also accept. Money orders are often accepted as well, as a 'good as cash' type of payment, although most couriers will not actually accept cash directly.

Many companies now though, do the majority of their business online, and that means using PayPal. As a result, even though they might do their business online, if they do have a physical product to ship they will still need the services of a courier company, and many prefer to use one that will allow them to pay via PayPal, since this is probably where all the money comes into their business, as well as where they do most of their payments from.

More and more couriers are moving towards accepting PayPal as a method of payment, although it is far from being universally accepted yet. Always be sure to ask if this is a method of payment that a courier accepts before you open an account with them if you feel that this feature is very important to you.

As time goes on, it would be reasonable to expect to see more and more couriers making the change to begin accepting PayPal for their business. Customers have made it very clear that doing business online is usually the preferred way of doing things. That call has clearly been heard by couriers who have implemented more and more online features into their companies. This includes things like the ability to both place an order and to open a courier account online. It is probably only a matter of time before accepting online payments becomes as much a part of the status quo for courier companies as being able to place an order online or to check a status update from the web currently is.
