1) Do not worry much about the brand of the ring, worry about diamonds instead. Make a research, it pays to read so that you won’t have to be in a jewelry shop looking dumb in asking the jeweler a specific type when you don’t even know what you’re looking for in the first place.

2) Familiarize yourself with the four C’s of the diamond: color, cut, clarity and carat and think hard as to what matters to you most.

3) After you have already gathered information about the diamonds you are trying to buy then it’s time for you to do the shopping. Visit shops and talk to jewelers. Look for the ones that would fit your budget and requirements. Compare shops, ask for discounts or any promotions. Also, you could shop online too which is way convenient.

4) Check on the authenticity certificate of the diamond. Ensure that you are dealing with reputable companies that would give you certified diamonds.

5) You could also save some money on the product name and improve the other Cs that you still don’t have. Still, consider your priority first, the 4C that would fit your preferences.

6) If you have decided to purchase diamond rings in the internet, ensure that the site is well trusted.

Now that you already have the ring, it’s time for you to know how to take care of
diamond rings.

Eventhough diamonds are known to be the hardest of all gems, there are also times when it gets scratched, or be slipped off from your finger. The following ways are simple steps that would guide you as to how you could take care of your precious ring.

1) In cleaning your ring, use a soft brush, soap and water. Before starting to clean it, have a solution of warm water mixed with detergent and put the diamond in it. Hold suds while cleaning it. Use a strainer afterwards and dry it off using a dry cloth.

2) Ensure that your ring is being checked by a trusted diamond jeweler for at least a year for its prongs and mountings to be checked.

3) You also need to purchase a special liquid cleanser for the ring and ensure to read the instructions very carefully.

4) There are also available special ultra sonic cleansers for diamond rings these days.

5) Diamond rings should be kept in a separate box and must be kept apart from other jewelry. This will keep it away from scratches and other risks.

6) When cleaning it, do not touch the stone with your fingers.

7) Before you are going to do exercise or any physical activities, take off your diamond engagement ring first.

8) Remember that rings could get dust even if you don’t wear it that often. So, make sure that you get to clean it properly.
