James Cameron's Dark Angel: The Video Game Review for Playstation a pair of (PS2) and XBox
The pathetic try to form a Dark Angel video game led to unparalleled disaster. This game created a mockery of the once common tv series, basically rubbing the fans faces within the dirt. If you can't do it right then do not do it at all. This was one in all the least imaginative games that I've got ever seen and truth be told I could have a lot of fun playing an old odyssey game than this crap. The Dark Angel series may are canceled and public interest for anything Dark Angel could are slim, however that is no excuse for this sort of debasement.
There's basically no story line occurring here, Max tries to rescue her siblings with the assistance of Logan Cale, blah, blah, blah. What else is new? The dialogue between the character Max played by Jessica Alba and also the character Logan played by Michael Wheatherly sounded less like people than something robotic. I know they can do better than that so what's the problem here? There is no excuse for doing a 0.5-ass job have some self-respect this is often your career.
The graphics for the game were horrendous, the same cop cars and trash cans will show up in nearly each section. You cannot tell one section from the next as a result of they reuse all of the identical graphics. The graffiti looks the same on each of the walls, the characters all look the identical, but with completely different gear on. Max and Logan look almost like the actor and actress that played them, but Original Cindy doesn't even come close. The boss characters, Beetle, Gecko, Bear, and Stingray (how original) are the foremost pathetic things ever to appear in a very video game.
The gameplay includes a rigid feel to it, there's a set path to follow with no room for deviations. The character Max should find a means to get past every section by either employing a keycard that she gets from killing a guard or setting something up to explode. If Max is detected by the guards a timer begins and you have only minutes to kill each dangerous guy you see before it's game over for you; this is the foremost tough half of the game. Max has a few moves that they have given her, however they're the identical moves that she uses throughout the complete game and they aren't even that good. Logan pipes in every so often to let Max know what's going on round her, sometimes at the start of every section, however sometimes in the middle of a battle which throws you off.
The camera for Dark Angel gets caught in walls or you cannot see down when you are on a second story to determine if there are any dangerous guys down there, not that if they fixed it it would build abundant difference in how well received the sport was. There was just not abundant fun in playing this game, it'd have been a success when the first Nintendo game came out, but video games have progressed thus a lot of farther since then. If you're a lover of the Dark Angel series your best bet is to buy the boxed set and the books; taking part in this can simply let you know how way it fell when people stopped watching it.
