Face painters produce some amazing painted faces and often fascinate those watching at your local fundraiser. It is incredible how the blank face takes shape and soon becomes an amazing face painting. Seeing someone paint such a master piece can be very inviting to try your hand at painting faces. You may well of already been to your store and got all of your brushes and colors but you may just not know what to actually paint. Have no fear there is plenty of help and resources at hand to get you face painting.

Start by looking at a child's painting book. These books are great because they often have simple face painting designs but if the book is not about face painting you will have to transform the design so it will be suitable for the face.

By practicing these simple designs on paper you will ensure you know the design well and be able to apply it to the face. Never worry if it doesn't look professional as the child will love it regardless!

Another place to look for face painting designs is the books that are available exclusively for face painting. There are hundreds of books available which will give you different designs and ideas. They will also provide a detailed step by step guide to paint that design. All you have to do is to follow instructions.

You can get design inspiration for face painting almost everywhere, you just have to look. You will find plenty of designs online as well as there are many dedicated sites for face painting. The most common and popular designs are tiger, princess, bunny, dog, butterfly, Spiderman, monster, Spiderman, pirates and skull.

I recommend you learn 10-15 designs first and ensure you can paint them well. Once you feel happy with these designs you can go on to paint harder, more intricate designs. Practicing will ensure you perfect your skills but always have fun face painting.
