Smoking is beginning to be looked at as one of the most prevalent causes of death in today’s modern society. For several years, intense research has been done on cigarettes and how they affect the human body. The popularity of cigarettes, despite the cold hard facts, has proven them to be a top notch killer. The tobacco in cigarettes is the root of one out of ten deaths throughout the world, which then holistically relates to about five million deaths per year. Since smoking cigarettes has become such a worldwide red flag, as it is such a hazard to everyone’s health, it is important that if you are a smoker, it is time for you to Quit Smoking.

During World War I, the popularity of smoking increased dramatically; however, at the time the truths about smoking related illnesses and deaths had not been uncovered yet. Soldiers in the war took up smoking as a method of stress relief during their time at war. Without knowing to detrimental effects, cigarettes were simply looked at as a great way to relieve anxiety, stress, as well as an outlet for relaxation. Since the war, tobacco industries were booming, and smoking became a hit, not only to soldiers, but to consumers all over the world. It was not long before people started becoming aware of the adverse health effects related to smoking cigarettes. Not only are cigarettes dangerous because they are potential fire hazards, but the pose a direct danger to those smoking them and those around them. First and second hand smoke are public health risks because they can ultimately lead to heart attack, respiratory linked diseases, and cancer.

With so much knowledge about cigarettes and their adverse effects flooding throughout society, it is important that if you are a smoker, you Quit Smoking in order to preserve and prolong your life and the quality of it. Smoking may not be holding you back just yet, but it is only a matter of time before the lethal habit will catch up to you. If you are dependent on a smoking habit, you need to look into a quit smoking program that will guide you through the necessary steps of becoming cigarette free. When you undergo a quit smoking program and ultimately Quit Smoking, you will soon see the benefits of not having cigarettes in your life. You will no longer feel the urge to take a hit of a cigarette, you will feel you have more energy, more stamina, and your body will feel cleansed. A quit smoking program will get you to the place you need to be to be cigarette free. If you want to do what is best for you and your family, you need to Quit Smoking. In the long run, smoking offers nothing positive to you. When you kick your bad habit to the curb, you will truly be able to live your life in a whole new light.
