1. Create valuable content.

Is your content worthy of being read by millions of people? Remember that the purpose of content is to provide value to others. Do you provide genuine value, and is it the best you're capable of providing?

2. Offering Something Incredible that has benefits

The most fundamental aspect of selling, that anyone involved in marketing must understand, is that people do not buy things because of the 'features' that a product has. People buy things for what the product can do for them, otherwise known as the 'benefits'

3. Create original content.

Virtually everything on this site is my own original content. I rarely post blog entries that merely link to what others are writing. It takes more effort to produce original content, but it's my preferred long-term strategy. I have no interest in creating a personal development portal to other sites. I want this site to be a final destination, not a middleman.

4. Reporting Remarkable News

Some of the highest traffic boosts possible come from news reports as thousands of popular sites write about their own experience or opinion with the story and credit you, sending what can often be tens or even hundreds of thousands of visitors over a few days.

Ignore the fluff, and focus on building something with the potential to endure. Write for your children and grandchildren and use a traffic tool .

6. Write for human beings first, computers second.

A lot has been written about the optimal strategies for strong search engine rankings in terms of posting frequency and post length. But I largely ignore that advice because I write for human beings, not computers.
You must make it very clear and tell the visitor what they now need to do. If you have a video on your site, that is selling a product, at the end of the video you need to have a strong close.

7. Blogging & Blog Comments

A successful blog can be the biggest marketing tool and online traffic source for many small and medium business websites. But, be prepared to giving it love and attention, as the value may be best felt after months or years of writing.
Another important aspect of selling online, whether text or video, is to make sure you provide a hook for the visitor to want to keep reading. The most obvious way is a benefits loaded headline. Also make sure that the first thing the visitor reads or hears, are strong benefits, otherwise they will lose interest and leave you site fast

8. Social Networking

Digg's traffic effect is well known, as is Slashdot's, but even the smaller services like Reddit, Furl, Shadows and StumbleUpon can send several thousand visitors to the site.

9. Online Tools
