LP records are still out there and DJ loves to use them for the songs and the sound of playing the record the old way. To keep the sound but make it more convenient to handle the records, you can transfer the songs from LPs to a computer or a storage device. Redirecting your music this way is easy. A USB port is what you plug the USB turntable into and the download audio software does the rest. It can transfer all of your music to a storage device. There is no need for any extraordinary gadgets for it to work.

You can transfer whole compilations to a CD or into a MP3 player for digital playback. USB turntables can also be hooked up to a stereo for direct playback. This has made the USB turntable really popular with DJs because their can store all of their music on their hard drive. Features such as noise reduction, fast recording ability and anti-skip control can make a DJ’s job easier. They compile all the music that they need for a set and never worry about playback issues again. Some still enjoy the extras you can do with records that you can’t do with a computer, like scratching and mixing.

There are several out on the market now with different capabilities and additions, so be aware what is being offered with each system. I-pod docking is available on some that permits music to be reassigned without the use of a computer. A MP3 dock can really simplify the transfer by just pressing a record button while the record is playing. You can use a simple software program with the MP3 dock as well which sometimes is included in your purchase for free. You can create a playback list with this software also.

By searching on the internet you can get a better idea of what is available and the features for each model. You can also search by price and extras. If you rather speak to someone, a salesperson at an electronics store should be able to address any questions you may have. DJ equipment prices can differ greatly and it is best to shop around and see is being offered. USB turntables with the most accessories or free software may cost more than you are looking to spend. The quickest way to do comparison shopping is online. Bring your records from the past to the future with a USB turntable.
