Before choosing a generator you should consider which appliances are necessary for the operation of your home. The decision can be difficult and there are many choices. The wattage of the generator can start from a few hundred to thousands. If you have a large home and lots of appliances, a generator with 10,000 watts or higher may be more be suitable. Some of the features include a large gas tank, electric start, hourly meter, and auto shutoff. The automatic shutoff turns the generator off when the power comes back on. You do not have to be at home to operate the generator.

The summer heat and the summer power outage are becoming more common. How many times have you been sitting and watching your favorite television show, soon to find out the power has gone out?
