There are a lot of different legal document types which are required by law to be present in hard copy rather than transmitted electronically, even in this age of instant fax and email transmission. For the types of deals which require these hard copy documents, it is essential that companies have access to a San Francisco delivery company that they can trust to move their confidential and highly valuable documents with confidence. This obviously requires a company that you can trust, but also usually requires some kind of legal enforcement of confidentiality in order to gain the full confidence of a company that must let their important papers out of their sight.

There are two methods that companies use to guarantee the confidentiality of a courier that is going to be moving legal documents, and if your company is going to be shipping legal documents it is important that you implement both of these methods in order to protect both yourself and your clients from any liability or other losses should those documents be leaked or lost. The way to do this is by insisting on two different levels of confidentiality agreements. The first needs to be in place between your company and the courier company management that you deal with. The second level of these agreements involves the actual ground level drivers and messengers that will be transmitting your documents. You should make sure to have separate agreements that every driver must sign before you place documents into their hands as a final level of protection for your company's confidentiality.

Before you even take the steps of enforcing any kind of confidentiality agreements, you should discuss the security measures that your courier has put in place. A good courier company which specializes in moving legal documents should have hiring and training practices in place to ensure that all documents placed into the messenger's hands are going to be secure and remain confidential.

Some companies have attempted to have in house couriers or to find other means by which to transmit legal documents without hiring an external messenger service, but the truth is, this is simply too difficult to attain. Taking a certain amount of time to find a courier that you can be sure will keep your documents confidential is a much more useful way to spend your time, and will help keep your business running well for many years to come.
