The second part of the fictional book Crime and Punishment begins after the last chap of part one. In that chapter, the protagonist, Raskolnikov awakens at 7 o'clock and decides to put his plan of action he visits the pawnbroker and kills her. After finding hardly any important items, which is a little bit of the wealth he was expecting to locate, Raskolnikov is met by The sister of the pawnbroker who is terrified to find her sibling's dead body at the bottom of the floor. Raskolnikov quickly murders her. After a few seconds, Raskolnikov is horrified when he discovers that the entrance of the pawnbroker's room was open the whole time. He briskly locks it, but soon two men knock on the door. Raskolnikov runs away and is able to go back to his home where he tries to fall asleep.
Rest eludes the protagoinst who is nervous and scared. After hours of failing to fall asleep, Raskolnikov starts to examine his clothes for any evidence of blood. Raskolnikov is still carrying several items he stole from the house. In a state of panic, Raskolnikov hides them in his room. Around twelve, His maid enters the room who is followed by a porter. It seems that the main character is being summoned to the police station. While he is initially deeply concerned that he could be suspected of the crime, he quickly lets go of the thought. Raskolnikov goes to the police station. Raskolnikov is told that he has been reported by his land lady, because he has not paid rent in a lengthy time. Raskolnikov overhears a man discussing the murder of the old woman. He is extremely anxious and faints. This ignites distrust and an officer questioned him. Raskolnikov is eventually able to leave the station. However, Raskolnikov suspects that the police know he murdered the woman.
In the next chapters, He becomes increasingly more unhappy. Raskolnikov even discards the goods he stole. Be sure to check it out.
