Predicting when you are ovulating is important because you are going to try to time everything so your egg and your partner's sperm meet somewhere in the middle. A few days too early or, as is often the case, a few days too late and you will miss that elusive window of opportunity that many couples miss when trying to get pregnant. It's sort of like trying to hit a moving target and if you're having some difficulty getting pregnant it really could be that you're just not planning things right. It does take some out of the box thinking, but once you understand how the stars align, so to speak, you might find success in getting pregnant rather quickly.

Not all women are alike and although doctors say that most women ovulate in the middle of their cycle, there are some women that ovulate only a few days after their period. So, if you were going by what is typical and you're not typical, you could be off in your timing by several weeks!

It really might be that you ovulate early in your cycle or late in your cycle and you just haven't gotten the timing down right. Knowing when to get pregnant and when you ovulate and timing everything right can help you to understand when you are more likely to become pregnant in any given month.
