There are just a handful of known ways that can genuinely have a measurable impact on one's business, and we have to say that preselling is one of those methods. When preselling works its special magic, minds open up and more often than not conversion rates increase.

If you are an affiliate marketer, then you cannot control the offer, but you can sweeten the pot as much as possible. For example, let's say that you're promoting an ebook written by an expert. What you choose to do for a bonus is totally up to you, and we encourage you to be creative. Adding something like an interview as incentive to the ebook you're promoting will give you a much better leverage as it will attract your target audience and get them to buy from you. Never think that great bonuses will not sway people in their decision-making process about doing business with you.
Any time you look at effective presell copy, you will notice that there is an element of teaching about what the product is about as opposed to anything related to selling. What you want people to think after reading your presell is a sense of gratitude or feeling they have just read something different that was totally helpful. As long as you're able to educate your prospect effectively about the particular product and give them enough information, you will have no problem getting them to reach the main sales page.
Then if the reader clicks on your link, hopefully that person will arrive with a much more open and receptive mind. If it makes you feel better, and it may not, let someone whose opinion you trust read your finished copy and let you know the verdict from their point of view.
If there's some kind of supporting data that you can use with your presell then do so by all means because it will help you get people to not only know about the effectiveness of the product, but it will also make it easy for them to make a buying decision. You never know what you will come across until you begin snooping around and looking for material and data. One important thing is to put some tracking script in place, and maybe test with and without the methods we described above.
Good presell accomplishes a lot of things, and that is why it really does take some time, study and practice to learn how to write it well.
