Ehlers Danlos Syndrome or EDS is a cluster of disorders which are inherited that affects the connective tissues, mainly in the skin, blood, joints, and vessels. This kind of syndrome is not common. EDS are genetic mutations disorder that damages the collagen productions; it is one main component of the connective tissues. Physicians have described more than a few kinds of EDS syndrome with different symptoms, however most of these kinds affects the joints and skin.

Popular symptoms and signs of EDS include flexible joint, delicate skin and stretchy joints that extends beyond normal choice of body movements. It is possible to acquire flexible and double joints. It is not similar as the Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, though. Complications of EDS can limit the physical activities. This syndrome doesn't affect mental functions. Classical Kinds (Once Type I / II)

Hypermobility Kinds (Once Type III)

This kind affects around 1 in 10k to 15k individuals. The signs and indications may include:

? Muscle pain and fatigue
? Severe degenerative joints disease
? Easily wounded
? Advanced early osteoarthritis with severe pain
? Loose and unstable joint with lots of dislocation
? Heart valves issues

Vascular Kinds (Once Type IV)

This kind of symptoms is very rare, but it is very serious. These affect likely 1 in 100k to 200k people. Symptoms and signs may include:

? Thin and translucent skins that easily bruises
? Fragile blood vessel and organs which are prone in tearing
? Collapsed lungs
? Characteristics facial appearance, which includes thin nose, thin lips, small chin, deep-set cheeks, and protruding eyes

Other Kinds of Ehlers Danlos Syndrome

Other EDS kinds is rare, several of which has been explained in some families. Additionally, the correlation of these kinds to syndrome as whole is not defined yet.
