A disabled person must possess a driver's license and have the ability to operate a mobility car.

Mobility cars come with mileage restrictions. The mobility car must be returned once the mileage limit has been reached.

Mobility cars come with two mileage options. There is a five and three year mobility car offer. The five year offer has a limit of 100,000 miles. The three year offer has a limit of 60,000 miles.

The following eligibility requirements must be met for a mobility car.

A recipient must be receiving either of the following two supplements:

Higher Rate Mobility Component or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement.

A recipient must have a doctor's sign that they have a proven illness that requires transport.

A recipient cannot have any previous driving disqualifications or convictions five years prior to their request.

If a person is disabled and cannot drive, they can appoint a friend or relative to get approved for the mobility car. In this case, the person designated as a driver for the disabled person cannot have any disqualifications or convictions on their driving record for the past five years. The designated driver must be at least 21 years of age. If the designated driver is under 25 years of age, they are only allowed to drive cars which are in the lower insurance groups where the minimum driving age is 18.

If you cannot find a local wheelchair vehicles dealer, then you may want to look online for more distant options. Consider those that provide delivery of the vehicles so that you will not have to worry about retrieving your new mobility vehicle.

Charges for mobility cars include the following services: insurance, servicing, maintenance (which covers tires, windshields, and general wear and tear to the vehicle), tax and breakdown assistance.

Wheelchair users are also eligible for a mobility car if they meet all the requirements. The mobility car allows the wheelchair bound person to enter and exit the car easily from their wheelchair. With a van for your wheelchair, you will be able to go to the places you want to go whenever you want to. You no longer have to wait on other people because some of the vehicles even have hand controls so you will be able to drive on your own again.

Mobility cars come is offered in several affordable options. They are easy to afford and can be leased on credit.

If the mobility car is returned damaged and cannot be resold at the end of the contract, the mobility car recipient will be liable to repair the damage. However, if the car is returned in good condition, a small bonus will be offered at the end of the contract.

If the disabled person is between 16 and 24 years old, they are entitled to a free six-hour driving course. Disabled people in this age bracket who take the free six-hour driving course will pay an amount lower than the standard. The driving courses will be arranged when the mobility car recipient claims their car.

The following terms of use apply to mobility cars:

Since mobility cars are only intended for the use of disabled persons. Anyone else driving the mobility car will get the mobility car taken away from the original recipient.

If a mobility car driver deliberately damages the car, they will be charged a fee for damage or loss of future use for the mobility car.

Profiting from the use of a mobility car is strictly prohibited. This will result in the loss of the mobility car for the recipient.

If anyone fakes their disability to get use of a mobility car, they will lose the mobility car.

Breaking any of the terms of use for mobility cars will result either in a warning, a fine, or the loss of the car.
