If you are looking at getting into the hobby of flying RC aircrafts then you are in for some fun. There is nothing better than putting your aircraft through its paces flying around on a nice summer's day. It is great fun for the whole family as well. There are just a few things to consider when you want to get into flying RC aircrafts. To begin with you will have to determine whether you would like to purchase an electrical plane or a gas operated plane. Between these two planes you find a quite a few variations to consider. You will find some major variations, such as if you choose an electric or battery operated plane it will have to be charged up before you are able to play with it. Your batteries should always be full to ensure the best flight times and responsiveness.

Choosing a gas plane means that the planes tank should be filled as well to ensure that you don't run out of gas halfway through your flight as it could end rather badly for your plane if it falls out of the sky. Filling the gas tank also takes a shorter amount of time than charging a battery as well. Gas planes vent fumes so might make them not appropriate for flying in areas where the fumes can't be properly vented.

You will also need to choose a RTF (Ready to Fly) version of a BNF (Bind to Fly) version of the aircraft as well. RTF plane kits come with everything you need to fly in one box including any fuel or batteries you might need as well as the hand control unit where the BNF plane kits will generally only include the actual aircraft and assumes you have your own controller and fuel source ready to go. Beginners and novices are advised to purchase RTF versions as this will give you all the basic equipment you need to fly your aircraft with and then when you purchase your next plane you can choose the BNF version as you will already own the hand remote control unit and will only need to bind the plane to your controllers frequency.
