Car cleaning need not to be difficult if you know the right techniques. You must know how to clean the interior of your car so that you will enjoy riding your car for a long time. The leather, which is inside the car upholstery, is made of cowhide. This leather is very durable. In the olden days of motoring, almost all vehicles are open so cowhide upholstery was used because it is very durable and can withstand any elements. As of 2010, cowhide leather upholstery is still used in vehicles but it is a luxury upgrade from the standard vinyl or cloth upholstery. Below are easy steps in cleaning car cleaning especially when cleaning the interior part of your car. To get started, you will need a vacuum cleaner, leather cleaner, clean rages and a leather conditioner. Once you have all these items, you are good to go. Follow these easy steps:

1. The first thing you will do is to vacuum the upholstery so as to remove particles like dirt that have been embedded on the leather. Particles can cause the leather to wear faster so you must be able to vacuum the upholstery every once in a while to keep it looking new and clean.

2. You must then select a warm location in order to clean the leather upholstery. If it is a bit cold outside, you can let the heater run in your car for at least a few minutes so that it will warm up the interior. You have to do this because leather will respond to cleaning a lot better if it is in a warm location.

3. You must select a non-acidic and water based cleaner for leather upholstery. Never use regular cleaners or saddle soap to clean the leather upholstery as they are acidic and they may harm the dye on the upholstery.

4.Apply the leather cleaner to a clean rag. Work on a small area of the leather upholstery in a circular motion. You can continue doing this until the entire area is already clean and has been covered. With a damp clean rag, you should wipe the excess cleaner from the leather. Allow your leather upholstery to dry completely before proceeding to the next step.

5. Once the upholstery is dry, you can now apply leather conditioner using the applicator that came with the conditioner. if the applicator is nowhere to be found, you cn just use a clean rag. red the directions indicated on the leather conditioner. Apply the conditioner and leave it to dry at the specified time on the directions on the bottle. Wipe excess conditioner with a rag.

If you have followed all these 5 steps, you are now able to enjoy the cleanliness of the exterior of your car. See, car cleaning can be fun and easy. If you follow the abovementioned steps, your upholstery will never look dirty or old again.
