. Physically, people who think too much will start having headaches or migraines. They may also experience a difficulty in sleeping and they may have trouble with their digestive systems.

. The foremost reason why a person has this strain is most often due to financial insecurities.

. Not all types of stress is the same. There are different types, depending on the source of problem and how the person handles his/her situation.

1. The good stress or Eustress.

This pressure is called good because it helps the person improve his talents, skills or performance. An example of this would be students who are pressured for an exam. Though this is a form of pressure for them, it is beneficial for them to study hard.

2. The bad stress.

This type brings a person to weaken his/her body and have illnesses. If the stress is not treated, this may lead to death.

a) Chronic stress.

This is often experienced as a continuous feeling that is related to strenuous work situations. Aside from this, financial difficulties or failing relationships inside the household can make him/her feel burned out. This should be dealt with by re-evaluating the lifestyle and knowing the source of this pressure.

b) Acute stress.

This emotion is oftentimes accompanied by a violent reaction on the side of the one who is stressed out. He/she cannot control the sudden reaction like a violent action, particularly when being pressured by problems.

Stress really has both positive & negative ramifications. An example would be crammig for a test or a presentation at work on the last minute. Stress is actually the driving force behind our improvement. Stress has helped us accomplish something. However, When stress becomes chronic or it lasts for long periods of time without moments of relaxation or rest, there are serious psychological or physical problems that may result to this. These are:

1. Anxiety or Depressive Disorder

Chronic stress can diminish a person's ability to enjoy life, to accomplish goals and to maintain healthy relationships. These can seriously affect a person's emotional well-being.

2. Stroke & Heart Disease

There is a noted link between acute stress, stroke and heart disease. Physiological stress can trigger serious affects on the heart as well as the circulatory system. It can increase heart rate and restrict the arteries. This action, over time, can lead to serious physical side effects such as cardiac events and heart attacks.

3. Weight

We all have different ways to cope with stress. For some, one way is to eat too little or too much. Though this can sometimes be emotionally motivated, there may be physical responses as well. The stress hormone cortisol can trigger an increase in abdominal fat. For serious cases, there are people who turn to eating disorders like anorexia, binge and bulimia eating disorders.

Other serious effects are: sleep disorders, memory and concentration problems as well as gastrointestinal problems.
