Gaining a customer for life should be your objective. The old saying that the first impression is the last is true, and you want your product to reflect this. Garnering you success over the long haul, going above and beyond your client's expectations will get you far in life.

The price you offer your product for is another important aspect. Let's be fair, people want the best deal when your product is brand new, they want a price that no one can beat. Perhaps you can offer a discounted price in the beginning to see how people react to it, and eventually raise the price to where you think it should be. If you, for whatever reason, do not think that you can or should lower the price on your offer, you might want to add bonuses to the package. Make sure to advertise that these giveaways and bonuses will not be available for very long, so that you boost sales. If buyers think that there is a cutoff after which they can't receive a good deal, they will act sooner. You could always offer your product for free to the first 10 customers, although this may prove expensive it is a great way to build up attention to your product. You might also drive up interest by holding some sort of contest or competition for a free copy. Get creative with your ideas and don't limit yourself.

Don't forget to create a marketing strategy for the product and write down the details. This strategy needs to be in place before the launch day, because if you don't focus on your marketing strategy and its left incomplete, then things might not work out for you the way you want.

Each day there are a large amount of new launches taking place on the net. There are some that are great successes and there are some that are horrible failures; if you want to make sure that you stay on the right side of that equation, you need to start planning for your launch well in advance.
