A browser redirect fix can be very simple to fix or it can be very difficult to fix. It all depends on what has made the browser redirect. If it is a virus it could be very difficult to fix. If it was from installing a toolbar it could be as simple as uninstalling the toolbar. I will go over a few ways that will help you figure out how to remove this browser redirect.
The first step in the browser redirect fix is to try and pinpoint what you think might have caused it. Did you install a new program that could have caused this? Did you install a new toolbar, or did someone else access your computer. You really need to pinpoint this so that you can fully remove whatever is causing this. If you fix the redirect and don't fix or remove what caused it, it will more than likely happen again.
Look for new toolbars that could have caused the browser redirect. You will want to go to your program files under the control panel. You will then want to scan for any installed toolbars that could be causing the redirect. If you do find a toolbar, all you have to do is right click it and uninstall it. This will remove the toolbar and keep it from redirecting your browser. If you find any other programs that you know you didn't install and they look funny to you, it would probably be a good idea to go ahead and uninstall them to.
If it's not a program that's installed it's probably going to be a virus or some other malicious software. What I recommend for this is getting an anti-virus program and seeing if it can find anything. I use and recommend spyzooka to remove viruses. You will want to run a scan of your entire computer. If the virus scanner doesn't find anything, you will want to reboot your computer in safe mode and scan again. If it still doesn't find anything you should be clean of any viruses or other malware.
So now that we got the cause of the redirect it's time to complete the browser redirect fix. Hopefully this will be as easy as going under internet options and changing your homepage back to what it was before. Most of the time if you have removed the programs or viruses that were causing the redirect, this will take care of it. If this still does not fix it, you will need to go into your registry and manually change the page back. Normally this only happens to the new tab pages, but I have seen it happen on the homepage tab also. If you are on windows 64 bit it will have two places for the registry entries. One will be for 64 bit and one will be for 32 bit. They will be located under internet explorer.
This should solve your problem, but if it didn't you should buy an anti-virus software like spyzooka. It will automatically fix your redirects and the registry entries.
