When NBA 2K11 hit the stores it did so without too much fanfare. Speaking of graphics, they developers have finally reached the pinnacle of success that has always been hyped. Because of this, the speed of and fluid motions of the people moving was a way to show the power of the systems processor. Playing the game is much like in recent releases. And in all actuality whatever is not broke you should not bother trying to fix. And the movement controls of the past few years of 2K basketball titles have been working great. They really hit the nail on the head when they came up with the Isomotion control scheme.
The game features live statistics that connect to the Playstation Network to gain access to the real NBA scores and stats. Every time you turn the game on you can see what happened over the last few days of real NBA action. It really gives a feel of realism to the game and the player. That is just what people want in a simulation style sports game, realism.
Even though the stats are recorded, the real life TV style presentation has won many people over as well. Watching the game being played there are many times where the viewer may have a hard time decided if they are watching a real basketball game or a video game. The presentation is that good and that realistic.
The offense and defense have both received overhauls. Attacking the basket and defending the basket have become both easier and harder. This makes the challenge of the game more realistic and the more challenging the game is the more fun it can be for the players.
Overall NBA 2K11 has finally become the game that it has always been hyped to be. Year after year it was claimed to be the best game ever but never really attained that level. But with this years game it has done just that. It has become the best basketball game ever made.
