The organization, which is technically known as Soci?t? Renault Fr?res or simply just Renault S.A is a French motor vehicle company. Renault was set up in the year 1899 and commenced its output towards the end of the same year. Among its enormous line of fleet production, Renault churns out various vehicle solutions which include buses, vans, cars and trucks. Owing to its relationship with various other automotive manufacturers like Nissan, the company is today the 4th largest vehicle maker.

The headquaters of Renault is in Boulogne-Billancourt, France and it isn't a government held organization. It manages about hundred and eighteen organizations all around the world. Furthermore it owns several subsidiaries in different regions of the world including the Romanian automobile maker Automobile Dacia and the South Korean motor vehicle company Renault Samsung Motors. Renault has about ninety nine percent and 80 percent share in both companies respectively.

The company is world famous for its countless innovative plans, health and safety experience and speed racing. The company's most unbeaten motor vehicle model is the Renault Clio which is a well-known supermini, which is, a classification larger than a city car yet more compact than a compact family car. The Renault Clio was first in nineteen ninety and is at this time in it's fourth production model. The basis of the Renault market was in France itself.

Renault was established by a Louis Renault, together with two of his brothers Marcel and Fernand and another 2 of his friends Thomas Evert and Julian Wyer. Louis Renault was born in 1877 at the center of Parisian bourgeoisie - which is a term used to define the upper or mercantile strata in French community, whose status emanates from either employment, schooling and wealth as opposed to the aristocracy whose social level is hereditary. His father was a respected dealer in textiles and related accessories, while his mother was the child of well-heeled trader.

It was the recognition that the vehicles earned from motor racing that the siblings realized and exploited into the backbone of what is Renault now. In fact the very first sale made was soon after a test drive organized by a close friend of Louis' father who was so awed by the ease with which the vehicle dashed and ascended the roads that he bought it right away. This was on Christmas Eve in the year 1898. The make of the automobile was the Renault Voiturette 1CV.

The Company established its stance for uniqueness right from the beginning. In eighteen ninety nine, the company commenced fabrication of the first sedan car, selling at an average of three thousand francs that would have required the regular worker at that time a period of ten years worth of earnings and wages to accumulate. The brand new Renault company insignia was launched in the year 1972. It was part and parcel of the huge brand change put into place to concur with the unveiling of the Renault 5 hatchback.
Today, the company is well know because of its popular models like Dacia Logan, Dacia Duster and Dacia Sandero. These motor vehicles are manufactured by the company in alliance with its Romanian subsidiary Dacia. Many models manufactured by Renault in joint venture with Dacia are low priced models which are designed for the middle class.
