When it comes to weight training to improve your sports performance then you should also know that nutrition takes a big part in helping you to recover from the hard workouts and that means that it also helps you to improve your performance. For the athlete that is looking to jump higher, their really is no magic pill or specific food that you can eat that will claim to give you amazing vertical. If you by chance, ever do see something like this with outrageous claims then you can ensure that it is a scam.

When you workout, your body is in need of nutrients and it needs to be properly replenished if you want to gain full benefits of working out and improve recovery time. You should know that carbohydrates provide energy for your body. So in a sense, I guess you can say that you need to go on a diet if you want to improve your sports performance. Well I guess when everyone hears the word diet, then they think they need to go on a weight loss diet. This is not true, the type of diet I am talking about this the diet in which you watch what you eat and improve your eating habits. What I see that many people do and dont realize it is that, people will eat large meals 3 times a day. I guess you can account this for eating in the morning, in the afternoon, and dinner. Instead you should be eating around 3 to 5 small meals throughout the day.

From eating habits, we will now move on to taking supplements. Dont worry, we will not advise you to take something that can damage your body. You may have heard of protein before right? If you have not then I do not know where you have been throughout your life. People talk about protein and what it can do to your body. It makes you bigger and makes you gain weight. When you workout, your body needs protein the most, and that is when protein shakes come in handy. When you drink a protein shake, you are making sure that your body gets the necessary nutrients that it needs and deserves. If you workout and do not drink protein shakes then you will not be seeing yourself get any bigger. When you lift heavy weights, then your muscles will start to tear and that is when it needs the nutrients as in protein shakes to recover from the strenous workout. If you want to increase your vertical then it is important that you take protein as part of a daily routine.
