Using Feng Shui In And Around Your Home To Add Colour.

Feng shui colour expertise can help you select the correct colors to create harmony in any living or working space as well as it could potentially be used with anything that involves selecting colors.
According to feng shui colour specifications, colors should not be used haphazardly but should used based on what they stand for.

Each one of the five elements, water, wood, fire, earth and metal are represented by different colours and understanding that allows us to create a feng shui colour based harmony. We will detail the colors every one of the elements represented in the following few lines in order to help you in choosing the correct colors for the home or office as well as creating the feel of harmony within anything concerning using colors.

Water, as outlined by feng shui color representation charts, is represented by the colors blue and black along with all of their shades. This means that if, for instance, you need to add more of the water element to your room, you would accomplish this by adding these colours to it.

Next, and according to the feng shui colors spectrum, wood is represented by all shades of green. Consequently, by painting an area green or adding green items you would be including more wood into it. The following element, fire, is represented by red, pink and maroon and adding any of these colours within a space will be adding that element.

The last two elements symbolized by feng shui colors are earth and metal. The feng shui element, earth, is represented by the colours orange, yellow, and brown. The element, metal, is represented by the colours white, silver, gray and gold. Using any of the colors within these last two groups would add more of the element which they represent.

A house position also determines the color which we should ideally use on the exterior. A property facing south should be white, gray or blue, facing SW it should be in red or earth shades, facing west it ought to be in blue or green and if it is facing north it should have green shades or red. A property facing NE ought to be painted in earth shades or red, and if it is either facing east or SE it should be in metal or earth shades.

Before using Feng shui in the home you should make sure that your walls are prepared correctly. The tools and materials used for patching a wall are very important regarding ease of use and satisfactory outcomes. Choose the best four or six inch putty knife. A good putty knife will have medium flexibility, it should flex slightly when pressed against a wall. As a rule most patching compounds that dry quickly are difficult to sand. I recommend standard wallboard ( taping ) joint compound for patching wallboard (drywall) or plaster. A mudd tray or a clean flat board with a straight edge will also be needed.
