A weekend break in Bath has to be one of the most versatile UK weekend breaks you can take. After all you ve got the shops to browse round, the Roman Baths to see and the River Avon to go boating on. And there is a lot more you can do as well.

But aside from all that there has to come a time when you slow down, grab a meal and perhaps spend the evening in a more relaxed manner. And what better way to do that on your UK weekend break than to see a show?

Bath has plenty of options available to you in this respect. Here are some that you might want to consider:

1. The Rondo Theatre this is on St Saviour s Road, which is slightly outside the main centre of Bath in a north easterly direction. The shows that appear at the Rondo are many and varied, and they change quite frequently. This means you might want to see what s on in advance of your break in Bath, so you can book in advance if need be. Alternatively leave it until you get there and see what s on you might get a pleasant surprise and get tickets for something rather good. One advantage of the Rondo is that ticket prices are generally inexpensive particularly when compared to many other theatres.

2. Next up is the Theatre Royal Bath. Most people have heard of this but if you haven t actually been you are in for a treat. You ve got a choice of three theatres in one here too. They are the Ustinov, the Egg and the Main Auditorium. The wonderfully named Egg is aimed at children, and there are lots of great shows on here. So if you are visiting Bath with the whole family, check out Egg to see if the kids would like to see a show too.

3. Finally there is the Bath Pavilion. The shows that appear here tend to vary, but you will find some well known pop groups taking the stage from time to time so look to see what is on when you are in town. This venue has the advantage of offering weekly classes for various indoor keep fit activities though, so you might want to consider that if you don t actually see a show.

As you can see Bath has great potential when it comes to seeing a show. And with the Moles Club in George Street to try as well, there are plenty of options no matter what kind of show you d like to see.

This is one of the reasons why a weekend break in Bath can be perfect in every way. What better weekend could there be than one which gives you shopping, ancient sights and a show all in one? And with plenty of restaurants around to visit for a nice meal either before or after the show, there really isn t any reason why you shouldn t book that weekend in Bath right now.
