Chicken that has been cooked in an oven tends to be budget friendly as well as an impressive dish especially for those unplanned for parties. Chicken prepared in ovens requires very little preparation if any as it is not labor intensive. Baked chicken makes for excellent food choice can be served at a bridal shower event, engagement party or reception dinner. For those who have intent in walking down the aisle someday, get to know how to cook chicken in ovenso that you can surprise your loved one now and then. If you want to be able to prepare some delicious oven baked chicken, use the following instructions to achieve that dream and you won't be disappointed.

Preparations of the chicken vary depending on the state that the chicken is in. Chicken that has been frozen cannot be prepared in a similar way with that one that has just been slaughtered. Frozen chicken will have to be thawed first under some cool running water for a number of hours or just transfer the chicken from the freezer to the lower parts of the refrigerator so that it thaws slowly over a period of 24 hours. When you are ready to embark on the cooking part, remove the now thawed out chicken from the fridge or under the running water and place it on the sink. The oven should by now be attaining 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Get rid of any wrappings that may be on the chicken and then remove the heart, neck and other organs that may be in the cavity of the chicken.

Ensure to wash the chicken using cold running water before patting the chicken dry using some paper towels. After this, take the chicken and place it on a plate before you clean up the working surface as well as your hands with some soap and water. Once you clean up your hands, take the whole chicken and rub it any of the following combination of seasonings and 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil. Black pepper and poultry seasoning; pepper, salt and paprika; salt and lemon pepper seasoning; garlic, basil and oregano; tarragon and rosemary; or any other seasoning blend that appeals to you. Using a roasting pan, place the chicken on the pan breast side down. Bake the chicken at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour. Remove it and turn it on the other side and continue with the baking process for an extra ? hour or more. This will ensure that the breast actually remains tender and moist. Get an internal meat thermometer and ensure that the meats internal temperature at the deepest part of the breast or the leg bone is at 165 degrees.

This might take a longer time to master but once you master it, there is no other easier way to cook chicken. Other methods of cooking chicken include crock pot roasting or casserole baking. Chicken tetrazziniis a different type of chicken dish that is more synonymous with Italians. This dish is baked but the chicken is baked together with spaghetti and cheese.
