While I had been setting up my Marketing business online, I did a whole lotta nothin' else. I didn't get any sewing done, didn't get any painting done, and nearly no cleaning or cooking. I had been intense about learning how to set my business up online. Because the thought of it has made me extremely uncomfortable. It was pushing my comfort zones.

I do love a good challenge.

Up till now, I already was what I was - A very good Attraction Marketing professional. I can talk to people, I can make phone calls, I know my core enterprise inside and out. These were things I had spent some time on, and I owned them.

But it was time to pinpoint on this one thing - setting up my blog, setting up my Facebook, and finally getting on Twitter. Learning new skills takes time. Learning new skills takes total immersion.

"Aw, Lori, I don't have time for that." I hear you whining ;) I heard the whining in my head too. And the FEAR.

When I first sat down to learn about my core business, it took time. I spent a good month completely immersed in it. I pushed my boundaries. And, one day, I HAD it. It comes easy now.

When I first understood that I had a BIG problem getting on the phone with leads, I took some training with my upline, I got some audio training from an industry leader, I pushed at my discomfort, and I spent a month fumbling through phone calls. And then, one day, I HAD it. It's like second nature. I own that.

It's been the same with learning these new skills. I spent a few weeks learning EVERYTHING I could about setting myself up online professionally, and now, I HAVE it.

I could have ignored this facet of my business, the minute the discomfort tapped on my brow. I could have made excuses. Instead, I jumped in. And now, all this information is MINE. Mine to share!

It took me a LONG time to learn that the feeling of discomfort was a signal to me: "Lori, you're about to learn something fantastic! You're about to break out of your boundaries and grow!"

When in your business, you feel that DISCOMFORT, my friends. it's time to push it. Push through it, look it straight in the face, and DEAL with that discomfort. Because when you figure it out, when you conquer your fears . after a bit of work, you'll HAVE it.

Only you set your own limitations. And, Baby, you're a firework! Grasp the discomfort, give it a shake and tell it "I will succeed! And you're either going to help me do it, or you have to get out!"

One of my many tips to make calling your prospects a more relaxed and enjoyable process is to ask them questions about themselves. You've got to qualify them! Allow them to get excited about the business. If you've been talking for 3 minutes straight and they haven't said a word, it's time for you to STOP talking.

Press on and learn, and remember every moment you feel discomfort when trying to grow your business, it's a flag! A flag to remind you "Hey! You're about to learn something new, it's right here!" It's also a flag saying to you "Hey! You have a problem - don't ignore it!"

Doing the same things will get you the same results. Changing what you're doing will get you new results!
