You can cook ribs through several ways. The oven has been identified as one of the fastest ways that you can prepare ribs. In order to prepare a delicious meal, then it is vital that you get the art of cooking ribs in the oven. The oven and the ribs can be considered to be basic requirements as you will also need seasonings to strengthen the flavor, water, a baking pan or glass pan and aluminum foil. Since your friends and family require a good serving, you are required to choose the best available ribs. Ribs have a lot of fat which means that they shrink during the cooking process so it makes sense to buy sufficient amounts so as to be on the safe side.

In case you have no plans of side dishes, it is important that you have sufficient ribs. The ribs have to be excellently seasoned so as to have a nice flavor. All seasonings used are left at the discretion of you the chef. They add some nice taste to your ribs although they are not a mandatory ingredient. Among the seasonings, there are several which are very popular and they include garlic, pepper, meat tenderizers and salt. There are herbs that you can use as well which include oregano, turmeric, parsley, rosemary and paprika. Others even add cheese for an interesting mix. Apart from seasoning, you can also use marinades that are readily available from your local stores. Your ribs end up all soft and tender due to moisture from the marinade as well as being tender and soft.

Once you are through with the seasoning or marinating part of the ribs, have the baking pan covered up with a heavy duty foil preferably aluminum type. Remember to leave out small foil allowances along the edges of the pan which are going to be used in the covering up of the ribs being cooked. Place the ribs on the pan used for baking and add some water. Ensure to have the water up to a ? of the pan so that the ribs retain moisture while the pan and the foil scorch. The pan used for baking can also accommodate potatoes, vegetables, carrots and some big onion pieces. The pan that you use for cooking the ribs should be able to accommodate all the ribs in a single layer to make sure that they get to cook evenly.

Remember to place the arches facing up so that your ribs can cook well. For good results, do not have thick ribs with thin ones as they won't cook evenly. Heat the oven up to 325 degrees as you cover the ribs through the use of the aluminum foil. Let them cook for an hour and then remove them heat up the oven to 375 degrees and put them in for 15 minutes. If you are into pork, you can refine your skills on how to bake pork ribs and have them ready in 2 hours. The oven in this case is heated up to 225 degrees.
