There are a lot of musical instruments. My favorite, which for me is the best musical instrument that never failed to touch the soul when it brings out music, is the piano and the violin.

The violin belongs to the stringed family of instruments like those of guitars. It has four strings that are the tune in perfect fifths. It is the use for orchestra and considered a beautiful instrument to play when one masters how to play it.

However this instrument is beautiful, it is not easy to learn ho to play the violin. You have to take much patience, diligence, hard work, and discipline to master the difficult techniques in playing a piece.

Some may say that you can play violin by just plucking the strings but it is best to produce music by using the bow. For beginners this may seem a bit awkward and difficult but with practice one can finally appreciate what violin music can make.

If you are interested to learn how to play the violin it is best to have formal training. You can enroll yourself to a school or hire a tutor for this. But if you wan to do it your self an really you think you are disciplined, then self tutoring is not wrong. You can begin by doing the following beginner steps I will give you, these are just a few starting points like how to grasp the bow and the violin and the like.

You should start by tightening the bow and the screw. You should turn it clockwise. You have to make sure it is not that tight, you will know this because the hair is parallel to the wood, and not too loose that you can’t play music in it.

You have to rosin the bow, if you bought a new bow, you can have it rosin by your teacher or through the shop.

You correctly hold the bow. Your hands should be loose and relaxed. This is done by laying your index finger on the grip, while the rest of your fingers equally placed from each other on the edge. When you begin to master this, you let your self go through with the music, movement will just come, and the savvy moves that violinist do when they play, you can also do it.

A lot of people have mistakenly held their violin using their chin instead of their jaw. Your jaw is just underneath your earlobe. You should stand straight or sit upright, and the scroll should be pointing out. Place your left hand on the violin’s neck and you have to make sure that your thumb is visible. The fingers should be relaxed.

This can be too much to handle for a beginner that why you should have a tutor when learning to play a violin, you may find it hard to play it the first time and be disappointed every now and then, but what is most rewarding than to see and hear yourself make music through the violin.
