Nutritionists have often pointed out the important relation that food has with ones health.. Eating the correct balance of protein and fruit is considered a good quality diet. Is it really ? Due to risky pesticides used on nearly all crops we may be poisoning ourselves. You should seriously consider shifting to organic food and vegetables.
Further Reasons To Go Organic..
An ever increasing amount of genetically modified foods are finding their way onto store shelves. Dubious and dangerous methods are used to boost the quantity of meat on livestock. Consumers of these animals than ingest these steroids. Methods are used to artificially preserve the shelf life of many fruits and vegetables. To ensure that crops remain pest free many plants and seeds have been genetically modified. While regulators have passed many genetically modified foods as safe , environmentalists contend that they have serious negative effects on the environment as well as our health. .
It is easier to grow organic vegetables than most people think. The requirements of organic farming are sunlight, a little compost, fertile soil and access to water.
Organic foods have been shown to have a much higher nutritional content than foods that have been produced via conventional methods.
There are commercial interests that deny the benefits of organic farming stating there is no proof that this is healthier.. Would you deliberately ingest poison. Of course not , unless you have a death wish . Are pesticides not poison ? The only reason you do not drop dead immediately is that the small amounts remaining on or in the fruit are not fatal on its own but instead builds up over time. Are you willing to risk your life while waiting for "irrefutable proof."
By eating organic you also help keep the environment safe. Organic farming has long term benefits for soil fertility as no harmful chemicals are absorbed into the ground as opposed to conventional farming methods. While shopping you will probably notice that conventional food items tend to be cheaper than organic food. Cheaper can often work out to be expensive in the long run. You are not saving money when you have to visit the doctor more often. As awareness of the hazards of pesticides in our food grows , so will more stores stock organic produce. This will lead to greater competition which inevitably leads to a better price for the consumer.
Until that happens, you can probably plant and grow these in your backyard. You just need the supplies especially the seeds or the fully grown plant to help you get started. Start out with a little research before buying the seeds or plant so that you are aware of how to tend for your garden. Caring for your plants is not just pouring some water over them when you remember. It takes a little more than that. .
Your garden requires worms. You heard right , worms! Not just any kind of worms though. The worms you need are called earthworms. They fertilize the soil are great for your garden.
