We are regularly bombarded with reasons and health benefits of certain foods.. Eating the correct balance of protein and fruit is considered a good quality diet. Is it really ? Due to unsafe pesticides used on nearly all crops we may be poisoning ourselves. You should seriously think about shifting to organic food and vegetables.
Further Reasons To Go Organic..
An ever increasing amount of genetically modified foods are finding their way onto store shelves. To boost their weight and produce more milk farm animals are subjected to an array of steroids which in turn are consumed by us. In order to make vegetables and fruit grow larger and last longer farmers use techniques that are often dangerous to anyone consuming the product. To ensure that crops remain pest free many plants and seeds have been genetically modified. While regulators have passed many genetically modified foods as safe , environmentalists contend that they have serious negative effects on the environment as well as our health. .
No magic or anything fancy is used to make organically grown crops. What does one actually require to be an organic farmer ? The answer is water , some compost , fertile soil and sunlight.
Organic foods have been shown to have a much higher nutritional content than foods that have been produced via conventional techniques.
There are those who claim there is no conclusive proof that organic foods provide health benefits.. Would you deliberately ingest poison. Of course not , unless you have a death wish . Are pesticides not poison ? The only reason you do not drop dead immediately is that the small amounts remaining on or in the fruit are not fatal on its own but instead builds up over time. Are you willing to risk your life while waiting for "irrefutable proof."
The more we move to organic foods , the more we preserve our planet. Because organic farming does not place harmful chemicals into the ground , the soil remains fertile for future generations. While shopping you will probably notice that conventional food items tend to be cheaper than organic food. Your health is priceless. Cheaper in the short term can turn out to be very costly in the long term. The law of supply and demand is what dictates the price. As more people become environmentally and health conscious the supply will grow leading to a lower price. People will start demanding food free of pesticides , its just a matter of time.
Until that happens, you can probably plant and grow these in your backyard. You just require the supplies especially the seeds or the fully grown plant to help you get started. Do a little research before staring your organic garden. It will be of great advantage to know how to tend to your plants before you purchase the seeds. .
Your garden requires worms. You heard right , worms! Not just any kind of worms though. The worms you need are called earthworms. They fertilize the soil are great for your garden.
