Many tests have shown the magnitude of your diet.. If you have been eating the correct amount of fish, meat, fruits and vegetables then you have nothing to worry about. But because some of these contain harmful chemicals, perhaps you should start switching to organically grown vegetables and other food products.
Extra Reasons To Go Organic..
There is a sizeable increase of genetically modified food in the market place. Dubious and dangerous strategies are used to boost the amount of meat on livestock. Consumers of these animals than ingest these steroids. Methods are used to artificially preserve the shelf life of many fruits and vegetables. To ensure that crops remain pest free many plants and seeds have been genetically modified. Although regulatory authorities have declared many of these methods as safe , no real studies have been done to ascertain the long term effects of eating genetically modified food. .
No magic or anything fancy is used to make organically grown crops. Fertile soil, water , a little compost and sunlight are all thats required.
Organic foods have been shown to have a much higher nutritional content than foods that have been produced via conventional techniques.
There are those who claim there is no conclusive proof that organic foods provide health benefits.. Common sense should warn you that ingesting pesticides and chemicals is hazardous to your health. It has been proven that pesticides weaken the body's immune system and causes mutations in both plants and animals. Do not take the risk as you risk your life.
Organic farming has benefits for the environment too. This happens because farmers will no longer use harmful chemicals and put these into the ground. The land which they have worked on can be planted by the future generation because the land that has been cultivated for so long remains to be fertile. While shopping you will probably notice that conventional food items tend to be cheaper than organic food. Should you always buy something if it is cheaper? In the case of food, the answer is no because you can’t put a price on the lives of those who eat it. The law of supply and demand is what dictates the price. As more people become environmentally and health conscious the supply will grow leading to a lower price. People will start demanding food free of pesticides , its just a matter of time.
In the meanwhile you can start by growing vegetables in your garden. All you need are seeds and you can get started. You could even purchase a fully grown plant if you lack a bit of patience. Start out with a little research before buying the seeds or plant so that you are aware of how to tend for your garden. Caring for your plants is not just pouring some water over them when you remember. It takes a little more than that. .
Your garden requires worms. You heard right , worms! Not just any kind of worms though. The worms you need are called earthworms. They fertilize the soil are great for your garden.
