Many studies have shown the importance of your diet.. Eating the correct balance of protein and fruit is considered a respectable diet. Is it really ? But because some of these contain harmful chemicals, perhaps you should start switching to organically grown vegetables and other food products.
Extra Reasons To Go Organic..
There is a significant increase of genetically modified food in the market place. To boost their weight and produce more milk farm animals are subjected to an array of steroids which in turn are consumed by us. Methods are used to artificially preserve the shelf life of many fruits and vegetables. Vegetables and fruit are genetically modified to make them pest resilient. These are all dangerous to your health or have been inadequately studied to ascertain the long term effects. .
Growing organic food is comparatively simple and does not require any complicated measures. The requirements of organic farming are sunlight, a little compost, fertile soil and access to water.
Studies have shown that organic fruit and vegetables have on average 50 percent more vitamins and those produced in conventional farming methods.
There are commercial interests that deny the benefits of organic farming stating there is no proof that this is healthier.. Common sense should warn you that ingesting pesticides and chemicals is hazardous to your health. It has been proven that pesticides weaken the body's immune system and causes mutations in both plants and animals. Ignore it at your peril.
Organic farming has benefits for the environment too. Organic farming has long term benefits for soil fertility as no harmful chemicals are absorbed into the ground as opposed to conventional farming methods. While shopping you will probably notice that conventional food items tend to be cheaper than organic food. Should you always buy something if it is cheaper? In the case of food, the answer is no because you can’t put a price on the lives of those who eat it. The law of supply and demand is what dictates the price. As more people become environmentally and health conscious the supply will grow leading to a lower price. People will start demanding food free of pesticides , its just a matter of time.
The other option is starting your own organic garden. Its not difficult. Just a little time and effort and the rewards are great for you and your family. Start out with a little research before buying the seeds or plant so that you are aware of how to tend for your garden. Caring for your plants is not just pouring some water over them when you remember. It takes a little more than that. .
Your garden requires worms. You heard right , worms! Not just any kind of worms though. You need the earthworm variety . Yes they are called earthworms and they are the best gardeners you can find. They remove toxins from the soil and fertilize your garden.
